


HK Taiji offers a structured and progressive path of self development through Taiji & Meditation. A Path of Internal cultivation for Body and Mind that has been taught in Europe and Asia by our teacher Patrick Kelly for over 40 years.
Mainly a path of inner knowledge and self-development, it is also a way to find external softness and inner strength, benefit health and develop useful self defense skills for daily life. We teach a step by step method to connect and evolve the Jing-Qi-Shen (Body-Energy-Mind).
The traditional Daoist system with a modern approach. Taiji is a long term practice for dedicated practitioners to gradually build a stronger Body-Mind connection.

Taiji Foundations Session
14 June 2026
On this Taiji Foundation session, we will focus on the Daoist principles of relaxation, smoothness, awareness, deep breathing and refinement of the internal processes. These will be experienced through the 4 main components:
1: SONG SHEN WU FA (太極鬆身五法)
You will be introduced to a highly refined set of 5 exercises created by Master Huang Xing Xian (黃性賢), a very accomplished Taiji teacher (teacher of our teacher Patrick Kelly). These simple exercises are optimally designed to loosen the muscles, free the joints an turn the mind inwards. Regular practice will bring durable benefits to Body and Mind. The 5 Loosening Exercises can later be practiced independently (morning or evening time are perfect for that), or be part of a Taiji or Meditation session.
2: TAIJI FORM
Experience an overview of the 1st part of the Taiji Form of Grand Master ZhengManQing (鄭曼青), and take the first steps in finding the inner elastic power and the benefits for the coordination of Body and Mind.
3: TUI SHOU (太極推手)
You will be introduced to the first few partner exercises Qi Dong (七動)and Dan Tui (單推).These aim to directi the practice towards awakening the sensitivity towards the partner’s Intention (Yi), Energy (Qi) and Forces (Jin)
4: MEDITATION
To close the session, you will be lead through the essential mediation for energy transformation from Lower to Middle Dantian (精Jing, 氣Qi), to direct our training efforts towards inner refinement.

For those interested to learn more about Taiji & meditation we will be offering a series of free demo sessions with a brief introduction of the Taiji practice, it’s origins and the major benefits you can gain. These sessions are an opportunity to understand a little more about Taiji and how it can benefit Body and Mind.
A mix of theory and practice, you will experience a condensed version of the 4 elements that conform a class: The 5 Loosening Exercises, The Taiji Form, Partner Exercises, and Meditation. Q&A's are welcome.
